Swingos Ice Cream

This was my Senior Project at Jacksonville State University, and I received an ADDY award in 2021 for Point of Purchase. Swingos is a charismatic and spunky ice cream shop that promotes acceptance of all types of people to encourage self-expression and individuality. The main central icon or mascot I decided to use was the flamingo. Flamingos are very unique and vibrant but, they aren’t born that way. They are born with dull white or grey feathers and after about three years of consistently eating shrimp and algae their feathers are enriched with their iconic vibrant pink color. Just as the nutrients from the shrimp transform flamingo feathers, positive self-talk allows people to reach their full potential and become confident in their authentic selves. Make your own choices and be your own person, even if it’s something as simple as creating your own Swingos Ice Cream Mix. The Swingos menu allows customers to create their own ice cream mix and experiment with our unique list of flavors and mix-ins. Ice cream makes people happy, can brighten a day, creates memories, and Swingos aims to do just that for our community.
